Government & Public-Authority Data Request Policy

Entity ACCELEREIGHT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EST. Effective 29 May 2026 Last reviewed 29 May 2026

Overview

This policy explains how ACCELEREIGHT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EST. ("we", "us") handles requests from public authorities — law enforcement, regulators, courts, or government agencies — for the personal data of our users or their customers. We are committed to protecting personal data and disclosing it only where we are legally required to do so.

01Review of legality

We review every request before disclosing any data. A request is only actioned if it is:

We do not act on informal, verbal, or improperly issued requests. Each request is reviewed and signed off by a company director.

02Challenging unlawful or overbroad requests

Where a request appears unlawful, overbroad, vague, or improperly issued, we will challenge it. This may include seeking to narrow its scope, requesting clarification, delaying disclosure pending review, obtaining legal advice, or formally rejecting the request. We do not disclose data while a valid challenge is outstanding.

03Data minimization

When disclosure is legally required, we disclose only the minimum personal data strictly necessary to satisfy the specific lawful request. We do not make bulk disclosures or provide data beyond what the request lawfully compels.

04Documentation

We document every request and our handling of it, including: the date received, the requesting authority, the legal basis cited, the data requested, our assessment and response, the legal reasoning applied, and the individuals involved. These records are retained for audit and accountability.

Notifying affected users

Where we are legally permitted to do so, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users before disclosing their personal data, so they may seek to protect their rights — unless prohibited by law or where doing so would be counterproductive (e.g. an emergency involving risk to life).
